Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Biotechnology

The Biotechnology Unit at the Shmunis School of Biomedicine and Cancer Research, Faculty of Life Sciences, Tel Aviv University, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Biotechnology beginning in the 2027–2028 academic year. Applications from exceptionally strong candidates at more advanced ranks will also be considered.

 

We seek highly motivated scientists who will establish independently funded research programs, and who will contribute to excellence in teaching and mentoring within the Biotechnology Unit and the broader Faculty of Life Sciences.

 

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment with access to state-of-the-art core facilities and close ties to Tel Aviv University's medical, engineering, and life sciences campuses.

 

Areas of Research Focus

We welcome applications from candidates working in Biotechnology, including, but not limited to:

  • Biomaterials

  • Bioengineering

  • Drug delivery and nanomedicine

  • Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine

  • Biosensors

  • Nanobiotechnology

  • Immunotherapy and immunoengineering

  • Protein engineering and design

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline. Candidates should demonstrate a strong record of postdoctoral research, outstanding publications, and potential for scientific leadership.
